Nominations for Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges

Every fall semester, NSU students and faculty select NSU students whose service to the University merits their inclusion in the upcoming school year’s edition of  Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.  This particular selection is one of the highest honors to be bestowed upon students.

 

Candidates for Who’s Who selection must meet the following criteria:

1.     Must plan to graduate from NSU in the Fall 2009, Spring 2010 or Summer 2010 following nominations.

2.     Must be considered by fellow students and faculty as being a good citizen in the community, and as having contributed to NSU by his/her presence.

3.     Must have at least a 3.0 overall grade point average.

4.     Must be in satisfactory academic and disciplinary standing at the time or selection.  Students on academic probation or appeal are not eligible.

5.     Must be a full-time student (undergraduate or graduate) at time of nomination.  Graduate students previously selected are ineligible.

6.     Must be enrolled in a four- year program or graduate program.

7.     Must have demonstrated participation in extracurricular activities and service to NSU.

 

Standing rules in validating the nomination include:

1.     Academic departments and recognized organizations nominate.

Nominations are not limited to majors in the department or to members of the nominating recognized organizations.

2.     Nominations will be accepted on nomination forms only. Full names should be written legibly and spelled correctly.

3.     Each nomination form should be signed by the department head or the organization president and its sponsor.

4.     Nomination forms are due in the Student Activities office (room 214, Student Union) no later than October 14, 2009.

5.     No nominations will be accepted after the designated deadline.
